August Happenings 2011
Aug. 1st- So glad my grandma got to meet and hold my lil Kimber 2 weeks ago (her 17th great grandchild) before she passed away. Sad I didn't get a picture of them together :( But the memory is pricless! My grandma loved lil kids and babies and they all loved her! She was such a loving grandma and grandma great to the very end, that is something she never lost was her motherly instincts & love!
Aug. 2nd- I got sugar ANTS!!!!! :( Dang pesty bugs!! If they don't die by morning from the good posion I put all over then I'm gonna go CRAZY!!!!
Aug. 6th- Got home from up north last night. My grandma's funeral was very beautiful, big and sweet! She had so many family and friends that loved her so much and came to support her and our big family! It was also our first trip together as a family of 5 and it went pretty smooth and was fun seeing all my family!! Love my Family they are the Best! =)
Aug. 8th- ♥ What a perfect Beautiful day it was yesterday for Kimber's baby blessing!! Her grandpa Gary Shumway did a wonderful job blessing her! Thank you Gary :) It's fun you two share the same middle name! And thanks to all our great family and friends that helped out and came to support her and us! We love you all!
We got us an apple computer and I can not WAIT to get it up and running!! Our 8 yr. old computer is so slow and is ready to die I'm afraid! So YAY for the new one!! =D Gotta love those good ksl.com deals and steals :) It's the only way to shop!
Aug. 9th- Just a week and a half left and I'll Finally have my boy back home and all to my self :) I miss him SO much when he is at his grandma's :( I miss when he was a mamma's boy! It made me feel so needed. I hope it changes back soon!
Aug. 10th- I'm Happy :) Today I get my boys back!!!! Love having all of us home together!! (Matt & Justin)
Aug. 11th- This morning before my girls woke up I FINALLY got my first "real" work out in a long time! I jogged 2 miles & walked a half mile on the treadmill and finished in 40 minutes! Then I did 50 sit ups and some push ups! I just hope I can keep it up! My goal is to run 2 miles 5 days a week for at least a full month! I feel so good after a good work out :) and man am I out of shape! haha I hope to loose at least 10 pounds before family pictures in late Sept. or early Oct.
Aug. 12th- So today I spent the day in Cedar and went and got Justin signed up for preschool :) I am so excited for him and really like his teacher and her set up in her home! He already loves it there cause they have BIG elk antlers right by the door by his class room, you can tell they like to hunt :) He got all excited when he seen that!!! haha He is a manly boy!! It was a good day! I love MY kids and love having them all home with me! The only thing that would make it better is if Matt was home with us :(
Aug. 13th- Well so far I've lot 2 pound in 2 days!! haha not much, but at least it's a start!! Today is going to be a GREAT day!! =)

Aug. 15th- MOTIVATION... Please stay with me! I'm gonna need all the help I can! Got my jog and work out in! What GREAT way to start out my week =) (2 miles a day :) I can so do this!!) And I Just got some first photo snap shots of my baby girls darling grins and smiles =) Love it!
Aug. 17th- Well... my dog "Peaches" just might be pregnant!! haha She sure looks it! But who knows it could be a false pregnancy. Guess we'll find out in a few weeks!! :) Like Cari said "Typical Shumway" lol :) And my lil' Kimber had her 2 month check up today! She is 10 lbs. and 22 inches long. She is growing prefect and healthy, but is like in the 35 percentile. Small cutie she is!! :) Oh and she got her first set of shots! :( But she did pretty darn good!
Aug. 18th- So I wanna share a lil moment with you all before I forget! Just yesterday when getting my kids ready for bed and playing with them for a bit, I kept looking around for the other kid... but I kept counting and all 3 were right here with me in the same room! But I still felt like there was one missing... I am so Not done having kids!! I need that 4th one and then just maybe I'll feel complete :) Not like right now! But I figure since I had the 3 pretty close I might as well keep them all close and be done (maybe & hopefully) ;) It's my thinking anyways! I might totally change my mind as time goes by, but we'll see! I'm a lil crazy huh?!!
Aug. 19th- Wish I was able to go Archery hunting with my man :( I miss hiking thru the trees and sneaking up on elk and deer especially BIG ones!! But instead I'll be home with the kids while worrying about my hubby hunting alone! Hope he get's someone to go with him like his dad :)
Aug. 22nd- So I gotta share something funny that Justin said last night: Matt asked Justin if he wanted daddy to shoot a BIG buck and Justin said No, I want you to shoot crazy donkey!!! HAHAHA What a funny kid! I think he's tired of that donkey making such awful noises in the middle of the night!
Aug. 23rd- Stayed the night at my parents home last night so I can play in St. George all day with the kids :) and be there for my dad's birthday! So far we are having a good time! My kids miss their cousins and grandma Karen F. Bangerter & papa Garret N. Bangerter! They has So much fun playing with them all last night! It was a good time!! We went to the big splash pad and then took a ride on the new merry go round for the first time :) It just wasn't long enough time to do everything I wanted though :(
Aug. 26th- Yesterday evening when I was cooking dinner, my Sweet lil Kaylee comes up to me and starts hugging my leg and then BITES it!!!!! WTH! She is my lil Vampire I guess, cause she does this a LOT!! (WTH- meaning: What The Heck! ;)
Kids watching our wedding video and I just love it and the music on it! It brings back Such wonderful memories :) LoVe YOU Matt Shumway!! We were made for each other! ;) xoxo
My poor Peaches is so Hot today :( Oh and yes she is knocked up and there are 2 or more possible fathers! lol Poor thing. Yesterday I got to see the puppies kick inside her big belly and got to feel one move, it was so neat! I think she'll be having them real soon! =D I'm getting excited! I am watching her extra close today!! She has plenty of water, a nice bed in the shade to lay on and a nice little kids pool full of water to cool off in. Now it's just wait and see....
Aug, 27th- I know my dog good!! She had her puppies yesterday evening and had 11 of them (7 females and 4 males)! Started having them @ 5:40p.m., thought she was done having them after she had 8 so went to bed and woke up to find out she had 3 more sometime during the night! One black one and the rest are white :) It will be fun to see if they change color! Mom and pups are doing well and hope it stays that way!! (one is super tiny and really hope she's makes it, we have a runt and a black sheep in the dog family lol)
These puppies are a LOT of work already!!! But they are so freakin Adorable!!!! Peaches is one good mom! I love my dog! ♥ and her babies :) I have been watching her and making sure each pup gets it's fair share of nursing time and doesn't get squished by Peaches on accident.
Aug. 29th- Well now there is only 10 pups :( So so sad! And it wasn't the runt that died, it was the largest male pup, I woke up to check on them and found him under Peaches :( poor thing. He was the biggest male too. This better not happen again! It's too sad and hard on Peaches! She sure had a rough time with it! It was so sad but sweet watching her with him. She was sad when I finally took him away and then she grabbed her stuffed toy and laid with it for a while all by herself :( She didn't eat for a while either not even her treat and I know she was hungry. But then I put her lil runt by her and she felt better!
I'm enjoying a wonderful cloudy, rainy day and loving the thunder!!!! It smells lovely out there today and is fitting the mood of the day...
Aug. 31st- I sure hope the lil runt makes it :( She's not looking so good today.
I need a hug :( The poor lil runt is now gone :( I am so sad to loose another puppy!!! So now we are down to only 9 puppies. This just may be Peaches last litter cause it's just to hard on me to see them not make it! I cried bad and Matt's not home! The kids were taking a nap so I woke up Kimber and just hugged her instead!!! Thank heavens for kids! They make it all better when your sad :) I prayed LOTS!!! Ever since she had her pups! I tried to give her a bottle with puppy formula but she was just to weak and frail to eat it. I just cuddled her up in a towel and brought her inside away from the dumb flies and let her go peacefully :( I am having a dang hard time- especially loosing them! This sucks bad!
What a great way to end the month. NOT! :(
