2012… Where oh where did you go???
As my kids get older the year seams to
fly by a whole lot faster then they used to.
I wish I could add an extra week in this
busy busy month or push pause for a bit.
December is my favorite time of year!
Because of my daughters birthday, the feeling this month brings and Christmas
the celebration of Christ’s birth!
Well let’s cut to the chase… Let me tell
you how our year has gone and sum it up as best and as short as I can…
Matt- Amazing, father, husband, teacher,
helper & worker! He is now going
solo and taking his dad’s place in the business (with the drilling part) and is
now doing 2 jobs at once at work. He works extra hard, but his dad still helps
him on the weekends when he can. He also
teaches Sunday school to the 10 & 11 yr. olds and LOVES his calling and the
kids in his class! Matt also got our big greenhouse up and running J we
had our first garden this year in it and did pretty good considering it being
our first time planting in a greenhouse and also built us a nice country log
fence around half of our property and it looks amazing!!
Shari- I work full time as a
stay at home mom and LOVE my job & wouldn’t trade it for anything!! It can get SUPER busy & messy in our
house with 3 little kids, but it’s worth it! I travel to Cedar a lot to shuffle
the kids to preschool, activities and do my errands. But the 20 min. drive is
so worth it. We LOVE living out here in New Harmony in the country!! We rarely
make it down to St. George anymore and miss that part a lot. Things I enjoy
doing when I’m not chasing kids around are: taking pictures/photography, being
outside working in my yard and going for walks!
Justin- Age 4, (turning 5 in
April) is growing up so fast and tells me all the time he “doesn’t want to grow
up”! haha Justin’s activities this year was: Swimming lessons & Soccer. He
did SO well in both and can’t wait to play soccer again next year! He is in
preschool and goes 4 days a week and even gets to ride the school bus. He loves
school and is learning LOTS and doing so well! He LOVES fishing, going to the
cabin, catching horney toads, helping his dad work in the skid steer and
grandpa in the track hoe and working in the garden with us. He is a great
helper and listener and is the best big brother to his little sisters!!
Kaylee- Age 3, She just had
her birthday this month and LOVED having a princess party with all her family!!
She is truly our little prissy princess that loves to sing, twirl/dance, play
dress up, get her nails painted, loves wearing lip gloss and can not WAIT to be
in dance next year! This summer she was in her 1st swimming lessons
class with me and loved it! She is also in preschool a year early this year
because she begged and begged to go when she saw her brother go last year. So his teacher said I’ll take her if she
seems ready! Oh was she EVER ready to go
this fall!! Talks about school ALL the
time and LOVES it!! She is a smart little whip! Kaylee is our big sweetheart and
loves being a big sister and her brother’s buddy!
Kimber- Age 1 (18 months), is
our tiny little pistol for sure!! ha-ha She is a funny girl who LOVES attention
and will make sure she gets it!! She
loves to play and do everything her siblings do and is getting in that stage
where she climbs up on the dinner table, walks around on it, can reach the door
handles now too! I have locks on almost EVERYTHING I can put one on in my home and
it’s still not enough! She is a great little talker now too, repeats us all the
time and is loving how much she can do now, playing with her siblings and is
one brave little girl. She also loves
WATER!! She is my water baby and would
be in the bath/pool all day/everyday if we would let her! She is full of spunk, energy and life!! And best of all… she gives the BEST biggest
hugs EVER!!
Our Big Highlights this year was: Family Trip to Fish Lake in
our small cozy new “used” camp trailer (our very first family toy), Cabin trips,
Trip to see and ride on Thomas the Train, Boating, Hogel Zoo with kids, trip to the Grand Canyon Railroad to ride the
neat Polar Express Train, Getting a newer "bigger" vehicle for me and finding out in Oct.
that we are expecting our 4th baby due June 18th,
2013. We are looking forward to all the
new adventures to come next year & camping a LOT more now that we have our
trailer!!
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Wonderful bright
New Year!!
Hope this finds you all happy, healthy & well.
“As we seek Christ, as we find Him, as we follow Him
we shall have the Christmas Spirit, not for one fleeting day
each year, but as a companion always.”
